Five branches. One honest kitchen. The real taste of Kerala in Kuwait.
The Kitchen Behind the Plate
Thakkara Makani Restaurant Company was born from a simple conviction: that the Malayali community in Kuwait — and every family curious about Kerala's extraordinary food culture — deserved more than a pale imitation. Our kitchens work from memory. Recipes inherited, not invented.
The coconut oil is cold-pressed. The spices are ground daily. The banana-leaf sadhya that arrives on a Friday is the same one prepared in Kerala homes for generations.
Five branches, one standard — the same pot of fish curry in Salmiya and in Abbasiya.خمسة فروع، معيار واحد — نفس قدر كاري السمك في السالمية وفي العباسية.
Across five branches — Salmiya, Farwaniya, Fahaheel, Dajeej, Abbasiya — Thakkara serves Kuwait with the conviction that authentic food is not a luxury. It is a responsibility.
